About Micah Brown:

Micah Brown, born in Detroit, MI, knew that he was destined to change lives at the age of 7.  Wearing many hats, Micah is a Songwriter, Spoken Word Artist (Poet), Actor, Fashion Model, National Recording Artist, SESAC Affiliate, Event Host, Voice Over Actor, Hip Hop Musician, Video Production, Script Writer, Author, Philanthropist, and most of all an above average student.  Where can you find anyone who has accomplished all of that before the age of 16?  There are people born with God given talents and then there are those that learn a specific talent as they go throughout life.  Seldom do you meet many people that possess both types of talents that impacts generations young and old, but Micah Brown is one of those people.   

Micah has performed for audiences of over 20,000, including Summer Fest where he performed alongside Grammy winning group Arrested Development and has opened for the renowned R&B diva, Patti LaBelle, and Grammy Award winning soul artist, John Legend. In addition, he performed at The Russell Simmons sponsored “Pioneers Block Party for The Kids of the South Bronx”.

As Micah nurtured his musical dexterities, he also began to flourish as a Spoken Word Artist and Actor.  Micah has performed alongside a host of poets such as Hank Steward, GeorgiaMe, Abyss, John Goode, Dasha Kelly, and many more.  Inspired by such poetic greats, Micah is the host of First Word?, successful youth open mic event in metropolitan Atlanta, which he sponsors through MIKAH, Inc.   Micah’s acting career started off on a great note when he landed parts in many independent films and on BET’s SOMBODIES.  Now producing his own films, videos and screenplays, Micah has emerged into one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the industry.

Micah has a deep passion for children that are growing up in single parent households, along with a true passion of activism against violence and bullying.  Micah was a part of KRS ONE, Hip-Hop’s pioneer, Stop the Violence Movement, along with other Hip-Hop legends such as: Doug E. Fresh, Busta Rhymes, 50-Cent, Ludacris, Channel Live, and Immortal Technique.  Inspired by his own upbringing, Micah has founded MIKAH, Inc. (Mothers, Infants, and Kids Achieving Heights) - a non-profit organization that assists those that is less fortunate than himself.  Micah has accepted the honor of acting as the Teen Spokesperson for the Fatherless Generation Foundation, Inc., located in Atlanta, GA.  As an active member of the NAACP Youth Council and the Sigma Beta Club for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Micah sees the importance of continuously being a humble person that gives back in life to those that are less fortunate.  Micah volunteers on a regular basis with Hosea Feed the Hungry, Zeta Stork's Nest, Songs for Kids Foundation, GPB and The Fatherless Generation Foundation, Inc.  Thus far, Micah’s good deeds have not gone unnoticed.  Amongst the numerous awards that Micah has received, he was awarded a Resolution from the State of Georgia by Senator Nan Orrock for his community involvement. 

As Micah continues on his journey towards his professional success and the success of impacting lives around him, he is sure to pave the way for those that are still searching for their hidden talents.  Unlike most people, Micah has been grounded in life to recognize his abilities while taking others along on the journey.  Whether if he is accomplishing above average grades. while in school or producing his next album or video production, Micah Brown will be a name that everyone will know and never forget.
